FS1 celebrated Nutrition and Hydration week. The children watched a song on healthy food and discussed about the healthy breakfast they had. The children were encouraged to make a record of their healthy food and water intake throughout the week by the putting a sticker for every time they ate a fruit or a vegetable in a day or drank a glass of water. Children shared their healthy food trackers during registration time and inspired their teachers and peers to make wise food choices.

FS1 children celebrated International Women’s Day. Children discussed what girls and boys are good at, then came up to a conclusion that girls and boys are equal. They watch a story of Amelia Earhart. Girls across FS1 shared what they want to be when they grow-up. Children made a card for their mums and the teacher to make them feel special.

Children watched a video on endangered animals and they also discussed how they can help the wildlife. Children enjoyed making the wild animals with the handprints.
There has been a lot of excitement in FS1 for the red planet as UAE’s Hope Probe entered the Mars orbit. FS1 students engaged in a discussion about the mission. They enjoyed drawing the space shuttles and shared their videos with their classmates.
The children across FS had been engaged in brainstorming and problem-solving as they did STEM activities. The children of FS1 created an emergency vehicle using recyclable material materials. They also spoke about how they made it. The children enjoyed listening to their parents talking about their professions and viewed a Science experiment carried out by the teachers.
It had been a fun filled and enriching learning experience for FS1 children. This live session was hosted by The Emirates Zoo Biologists and children had an opportunity to ask questions while walking through the zoo and the park. Children viewed different species of the zoo animals and extended their learning on some of the like - donkeys, alpacas, llamas, camels, ponies, cows, horses, hippos, crocodiles, etc.
It had been a vibrant week in FS. The children were introduced to the artists; Georges Seurat and Piet Mondrian. They were inspired with their art styles- Pointillism and Abstract Art. Children enjoyed using both the techniques to colour their drawings. Parent artists also shared their videos demonstrating their unique art work.

Children enjoyed dressing up in their traditional attire for the occasion and spoke confidently.
It was an exciting day in FS. Both the blended learning and distance learning children were children dressed up as their favourite storybook character and spoke about the character they were dressed up as. Children were also shown the stories narrated by their parents.

Both the blended learning and distance learning children were in the spirit of UAE National Day; they dressed up in UAE flag colours/the national costume of their country. Children learnt about the culture and heritage of the UAE and tried to compare it with the culture of their own country. Children also spoke about the leaders of the UAE and sang the National Anthem. They also frolicked on the tune of an Arabic song.
