Every drop counts! On World Water Day, we took the opportunity to create awareness to manage and consume water in the right way among our little learners. We discussed the importance of water in our life, how do we get it and how can we save water. We watched a story on water conservation and sang song on saving water. Students shared their thoughtful responses and later made a water droplet. They decorated and designed it using craft resources.

A child who reads will be an adult who thinks! Students of FS1 came dressed as their favourite story character and brought their favourite story books and props. Little readers enthusiastically picture read their favourite story in class using great words and expressions. Teachers also joined in and enacted along with the students.
International Happiness day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by children. They came dressed in colored clothes which made them feel happy and joyful. Children created yellow circle shaped cut outs and were encouraged to draw ‘what makes them happy’. The smileys were shared with staff members to spread happiness and the remaining were displayed on the ‘Happiness Wall’. During the day, students performed exciting Zumba dance moves guided by our PE teacher, Ms. Jayanti Devi.
FS 1 learn the ropes young! It was all in a day’s work for them, role playing the professions ‘People who help us’ perform! Dressed as pediatricians, chefs, fire fighters, construction workers and the like, they played their part. Toys were explored and sorted into old and new and the changes in farming and communication over time. Books of their interest were read with their parents. It was an enchanting hour!
FS1 children celebrated Emirati Children’s Day, which was focused on their happiness, health, safe and supportive environment. They engaged in fun-filled activities and games such as passing the ball, musical chairs, duck duck goose and read their favourite books. To culminate the occasion, students made a card for their buddies.
FS students celebrated International Day of Mathematics. They were engaged in a wide range of mathematical games in their classrooms as well as outdoor Areas. Students applied their understanding in activities such as making shapes using fingers, folding papers to create different shapes, solving jigsaw puzzles, subitizing objects and playing ICT games related to numbers, shapes and patterns.
The FS pyjama party was a fun filled event as children came dressed in their favourite pyjamas. They enjoyed a marvelous story enact performed by their teachers who were dressed as different jungle animals and enacted the story ‘Giraffes can’t dance’. Children were enthralled to watch their teachers perform and were engrossed in the story and the characters. Also, our passionate parents participated by re-enacting the story with costumes. Later, children were overjoyed to sing and dance along with their teachers and buddies.
FS students dressed up as their favorite endangered animal/animal print pajamas. Students read stories on wildlife with their friends in class as well as outdoors. They spoke about why these animals are endangered and how we can protect wildlife on Earth. They took part in a parade through the corridors, where they were cheered on by all the other students.
FS1 students had fun-filled day at the Dubai Aquarium. It was a perfect combination of education and entertainment giving our students the opportunity to explore and learn about different kinds of aquatic creatures. They were over joyed to walk through the Underwater Zoo and were excited to have a close look at their favorite sea creatures such as sharks, stingrays, turtles. They enjoyed their meal along with their buddies and had amazing experience about the world’s largest suspended aquariums in the world.
