FS children participated passionately in the celebration of Global Dignity Day. They watched a video and talked about the importance of being compassionate and respectful towards their family, friends and community. Later, they sang songs on kindness and designed beautiful ‘Thank You’ Cards to express their gratitude towards the people who help them.

FS1 Children celebrated ‘World Mental Health Day’. They shared their endearing feelings about how they feel with their family and friends. They enjoyed listening to story and were intrigued to know about how to keep their mind strong. Teachers enriched their knowledge in the classrooms as well as in the outdoor areas by sharing the benefits of self-care by exercising every day, eating healthy food, having enough rest and avoiding excessive screen time followed by yoga and breathing exercises. FS1 celebrated Space Week in a fun and educational way to introduce young children to the wonders of space. Videos of UAE astronauts- Sultan Al Neyadi, Hazza Al Mansouri and Nora Al Matrooshi were shared. Children were engaged in a variety of activities such as singing songs, reading stories, building rockets, spaceships using blocks, playdough, mark making tools as they excitedly spoke about their creative dress up. They discussed about planets, moon, satellite, rockets, rovers and their aspirations to become an astronaut and go to space. The day ended with a parade in FS corridors. The world acknowledges teachers’ contribution to education and development. To mark this day, the little learners of FS1 shared a short video on how their teacher helps them to learn and grow. It was heart-warming to hear messages from the students. They also created greeting cards to say thank you for the contribution teachers make in their lives. FS children celebrated ‘Road Safety Day’ with great zeal. They enjoyed singing songs about the traffic lights, talked about different road safety rules and why it is important to follow them. They had fun enacting as the traffic police and imitating their experiences about the safety rules like wearing seatbelts and helmets, no talking over the phone while driving, crossing the road on the zebra crossing etc. Later, they were engrossed in making traffic signal and zebra crossing by using their own creativity and imagination. FS students celebrated Sewa Day with great enthusiasm. It was organized for students to understand the importance of being caring and empathetic for their family and friends. They loved singing songs of thankfulness and were engrossed in making Thank you cards and bracelets to express their gratitude towards the people who helped them. Later, they enjoyed sharing their experiences with their classmates. FS1 children participated in World Habitat Day and learned about how they can come together to make school / home / community a better place to live in. They engaged in activities like tidying up the Play Area, tidying up their tables after activities, make a poster, picking up fallen leaves in the Garden Area and talking about how they can take care of their surroundings. |
