Children of FS1 participated in Science week activities to know more about their bodies. They explored about parts of the body, dental hygiene, inside our body, and healthy and unhealthy food. Children also explored their facial features in the mirror and drew themselves. They dressed up as their favourite body part and spoke confidently about the functions and why that body part is their favourite.

Peace day was established by the United Nations in 1981, to encourage the world to work together towards the goal of worldwide peace. Students and Teachers dressed in white to celebrate International Peace Day. Various activities were conducted to enable children understand the importance of Peace Day. Children were encouraged to sing songs to express their views and feeling about how can they spread peace.
The 8th of September was proclaimed International Literacy Day by UNESCO in 1966.The Winchester School celebrated this event by creating opportunities to our students to share their love for stories and books through an engaging and colourful event promoting love for reading. FS children came dressed up in their favorite animal character from a story book. They prepared couple of lines to introduce the character and the story that it belongs to.
The FS children celebrated International Day of Charity. Children were made aware of the importance of charity through video and songs. We discussed different ways to help people in need. We also shared about ‘Dubai Cares’ and its role to provide support to developing countries.
